Victor Khryapa (born August 3, 1982) is a famous Russian basketball player. He played professionally for many years, mostly for a team called CSKA Moscow in the VTB United League. Victor is a tall and skilled player, standing at 6 feet 9 inches. He played as a forward.
Victor was chosen three times for the All-EuroLeague Team. He also won the EuroLeague Best Defender award in 2010. He was a key player for the Russian national team. With them, he won a gold medal at the EuroBasket 2007. He also earned two bronze medals at the EuroBasket 2011 and the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Victor Khryapa had an exciting career playing basketball in both Europe and the NBA.
Early Career in Europe
Victor started his professional journey in Russia.
- He played for Khimik Engels in 1999–2000.
- Then he joined Avtodor Saratov from 2000 to 2002.
- In 2002, Victor signed with CSKA Moscow.
- With CSKA, he won two Russian Championships in 2003 and 2004.
Playing in the NBA
Victor was a top pick in the 2004 NBA draft.
- The New Jersey Nets chose him as the 22nd player overall.
- He was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.
- In 2006, he was traded again to the Chicago Bulls.
- Victor played for the Bulls until February 2008. He wanted more playing time.
Return to European Basketball
After his time in the NBA, Victor returned to Russia.
- On February 12, 2008, he rejoined his former team, CSKA Moscow.
- He signed a long contract for four and a half years.
- With CSKA, he won many titles.
