Victoria is a small town in Mississippi County, Arkansas, United States. In 2020, only 20 people lived there. This was a decrease from 37 people in 2010. The town was named after the sister of its founder, Robert E. Lee Wilson.

History of Victoria

Victoria was founded by Robert E. Lee Wilson. He was a very important farmer in the late 1800s. Robert E. Lee Wilson started several towns in Arkansas. These towns include Armorel, Marie, and Wilson. All of these are also in Mississippi County. Victoria was named after his sister, who was also called Victoria.

Robert E. Lee Wilson's daughter, also named Victoria, married Frank Wesson. Frank Wesson was from a family that made firearms. The company they started is now called "Wesson Farms." This company still owns and operates a lot of the land around Victoria. The town officially became a town in 1966. Four years later, in 1970, nearly 200 people lived there. However, the number of people living in Victoria has slowly gone down since then.

Where is Victoria Located?

Victoria is in the middle part of Mississippi County. It is located along State Highway 158. The town is about 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Osceola. Osceola is the main city where the county government is located.

State Highway 181 is just west of Victoria. Also, Interstate 55 is about 2.5 miles (4 km) to the east. You can get to Victoria from Exit 53 on Interstate 55. The United States Census Bureau says that Victoria covers an area of 0.32 square miles (0.82 km2). All of this area is land.
