Vidette is a small city in Burke County, Georgia, United States. In 2020, about 103 people lived there. It is part of the larger Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area. You can find Vidette where State Routes 24 and 305 meet.
History of Vidette
The Georgia General Assembly officially made Vidette a town in 1908. The town was named after a person called Dr. Vidette.
Geography of Vidette
Vidette is located in the western part of Burke County. Its exact spot is 33°2′13″N 82°14′55″W / 33.03694°N 82.24861°W. It is about 14 miles (23 km) west of Waynesboro, which is the main city of the county.
The United States Census Bureau says that Vidette covers a total area of about 1.0 square mile (2.5 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water.
