Vilaller is a small town and a municipality located in the Alta Ribagorça area of Catalonia, Spain. It's a place with a rich history and beautiful natural surroundings.
The municipality of Vilaller includes the main town and a small village called Senet de Barravés. There's also an old stable area named Cierco, but it's no longer inhabited. Only Vilaller and Senet de Barravés have people living there all the time. In the past, other places like Casós, Sarroqueta de Barravés, and Viuet were also part of Vilaller.
The main church in Vilaller is named after Saint Clement. Near the town, you can find the sanctuary of the Mother of God of Riupedrós. There are also a few small chapels, or hermitages, dedicated to Saint Mammes, Saint Anthony, and Saint Peter. The parish of Vilaller is part of the Lleida diocese.

The name Vilaller has an interesting history. According to a language expert named Joan Coromines, the name Vilaller comes from villa Alihari. This is a mix of two parts:
- Villa: This is a Latin word meaning "town" or "village."
- Alihari: This is a German personal name.
So, the name basically means "Alihari's town."

Vilaller is located in a beautiful part of the Pyrenees mountains. It shares its borders with several other towns and areas:
- To the north, it borders Vielha e Mijaran.
- To the northeast, it is next to Naut Aran.
