Villa Traful is a small village in the Neuquén Province of Argentina. It is located right on the shore of Traful Lake, about 720 meters (2,362 feet) above sea level. This means it's quite high up in the mountains!
The village is nestled inside the Nahuel Huapi National Park, which is a huge protected area. You can find Villa Traful along the famous Road of the Seven Lakes. It's about 60 km (37 miles) from Villa La Angostura and 100 km (62 miles) from Bariloche, two other popular towns. The main way to get there is by Provincial Route 65. The Argentine National Park Administration (DPN) founded Villa Traful in 1936.
