The name of the town, Villaseca de la Sagra, comes from "Villa d'Aceca." This name actually comes from an Arabic word, as-Sikka. This word means "the causeway" or a raised road. Even though "seca" sounds like the Latin word for "dry," the town's name is not related to being dry. However, the area is quite dry, which might have made people think of that connection.

Villaseca de la Sagra is located in a region called La Sagra. It shares its borders with several other towns. These include Magán, Mocejón, and Villaluenga de la Sagra. You can easily reach Villaseca de la Sagra. It is connected to the cities of Toledo and Madrid by a toll motorway called AP-41. There is also another road, CM-4001, that connects it to Toledo.
