The Vintage Flying Museum is a non-profit museum located at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. This special place is all about keeping America's flying history alive. They do this by showing off old airplanes and teaching people about them. You can also find other cool groups there, like Greatest Generation Aircraft and the Invader Squadron.

Museum History: How It Started

The museum began in 1988. A person named William "Doc" Hospers started it when he bought a B-17 airplane. This was the very first step in creating the museum we know today.

In October 2010, the museum sold its B-17 plane, which was nicknamed "Chuckie." It went to another museum called the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Later, in 2019, the museum got a Beech 18 plane. This plane used to belong to a famous pilot named Jackie Cochrane.
