Vireos are a group of small birds. They are a type of passerine bird, which means they are songbirds. Most vireos live in the New World, which includes North and South America.
These birds usually have feathers that are not very bright. They are often dull-colored and greenish. Smaller vireos can look a bit like wood warblers. Scientists have learned from their DNA that vireos are related to crows. Vireos are often shy birds and can be hard to spot.
