Vitold Anatolievich Kreyer (Russian: Витольд Анатольевич Креер; 12 October 1932 – 1 August 2020) was a famous Russian athlete. He was a specialist in the triple jump. This is an athletics event where athletes perform three jumps in a row. Vitold Kreyer competed in three Olympic Games. He won two bronze medals for his country.

Vitold Kreyer was born on October 12, 1932. His hometown was Krasnodar in the Soviet Union. He became a very skilled triple jumper. He competed for the Dynamo Moscow club.
His Olympic Achievements
Vitold Kreyer took part in the Olympic Games three times. He competed in 1956, 1960, and 1964. His first Olympic medal came at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. He won a bronze medal in the triple jump event.
Four years later, he competed again. At the 1960 Rome Olympics, he won another bronze medal. This showed his consistent talent in the triple jump.
National Success
Besides his Olympic medals, Vitold Kreyer was also a champion in his home country. He won the Soviet Union's national title in the triple jump. He achieved this victory two times, in 1960 and 1961.
After His Jumping Career
After he stopped competing, Vitold Kreyer became a coach. He helped other athletes improve their triple jump skills. One of his most famous students was Viktor Saneyev. Viktor Saneyev went on to win three Olympic gold medals in the triple jump.
Vitold Kreyer also held important leadership roles. He was the head coach for the Soviet athletics team. He served in this position from 1967 to 1980. Later, he led the Russian athletics team at the 2000 Olympics. Vitold Kreyer passed away on August 1, 2020. He was 87 years old.
