Vittoria Coffee is a popular brand of coffee from Australia. It makes many different coffee products. The company that produces Vittoria Coffee is called Vittoria Food and Beverage.

History of Vittoria Coffee

Vittoria Coffee started a long time ago in Sydney, Australia. In 1947, two brothers, Orazio and Carmelo Cantarella, founded a company called Cantarella Brothers.

Early Coffee Roasting

In 1958, the brothers began roasting their own coffee. They used high-quality Arabica coffee beans. They roasted these beans at their business in Haymarket, a suburb of Sydney. At first, they supplied coffee to the very first Italian cafes in Sydney. Sadly, Carmelo passed away soon after, and Orazio took over the company.

New Leadership and Growth

Les Schirato joined Vittoria Coffee in 1974. He later married Orazio's daughter, Luisa. Les returned to work for Vittoria Coffee in 1981. He helped the company grow a lot.

Les Schirato introduced Vittoria's vacuum-packed ground coffee to Australian supermarkets. This was a big deal because it was the first time real coffee, not instant coffee, was sold in stores across Australia. Orazio Cantarella stepped down as CEO in 1992, and Les Schirato became the new leader of the company.

Famous Faces and Expansion

In 2010, a famous actor named Al Pacino appeared in advertisements for Vittoria Coffee. These ads were directed by Barry Levinson and produced by Ridley Scott's company, RSA. Vittoria Coffee also started selling its products in the United States in 2014, expanding its reach around the world.

About Vittoria Coffee Today

Les Schirato, who became CEO in 1992, and his wife Luisa, Orazio's daughter, own a large part of the company. Their son, Rolando, is expected to take over the business in the future.

Vittoria Coffee also makes its own coffee pods. These include pods that work with Nespresso machines. They also have their own coffee brewing machines. These products are sold under the name Espressotoria.
