Vladimir Nikolaevich Artemov was a famous gymnast from Russia. He was born on December 7, 1964, in a city called Vladimir. Vladimir Artemov competed for the Soviet Union and became an Olympic and world champion. Many people think he was one of the best gymnasts ever on the parallel bars.

Vladimir Artemov's Olympic Success

Vladimir Artemov competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics held in Seoul, South Korea. He had an amazing performance there! He won four gold medals, which is a huge achievement.

After his successful gymnastics career, Vladimir Artemov moved to the United States in 1990. He first settled in Pennsylvania. He now lives in San Antonio, Texas. There, he runs a gymnastics gym with his wife, Natalia, helping new gymnasts learn and grow.

Some people have mistakenly thought he was the father of another US gymnast, Alexander Artemev. However, they are not related.
