The Volderer See (Lake Volders)
Near the church, at the edge of the village, is the Volderer See. This is a small lake that has become much smaller over time. Now, it looks more like a pond.
The lake does not have natural rivers flowing into or out of it. It mainly gets its water from rain. It also gets some water from the ground near the Inn River. The water quality of the lake is okay, but it often has a lot of algae. Algae are tiny plant-like organisms that can grow quickly in water.
There is an old story about the lake. People say a giant once blocked the water flowing into the lake with a huge rock. This is why the lake supposedly shrank.
