Vorderthal is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the March District in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland. It's a quiet place known for its beautiful natural surroundings.

Vorderthal covers an area of about 28 square kilometers (about 10.8 square miles). A large part of this land, almost 60%, is covered by forests. About 35% of the area is used for farming, like fields and pastures. A small portion, about 2%, has buildings and roads. The remaining land includes rivers, glaciers, or mountains that are not used for farming or building.
