WWF The Wrestling Classic was a special professional wrestling event. It was organized by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which is now known as WWE. This event happened on November 7, 1985. It took place at the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois. The main part of the show was a big tournament with 16 wrestlers. The winner of this tournament was Junkyard Dog, who beat Randy Savage in the final match. This event was also a "pay-per-view" (PPV), meaning people paid to watch it live on TV.

What Happened at The Wrestling Classic?
The Wrestling Classic was mostly about a big tournament. A tournament is like a competition where wrestlers go head-to-head. If you win, you move on to the next round. If you lose, you are out! Sixteen different wrestlers competed to see who was the best.
Tournament Matches
Many exciting matches happened during the tournament. Here are some of the key moments:
- In the first round, Adrian Adonis defeated Corporal Kirchner.
- The Dynamite Kid won his first match against Nikolai Volkoff very quickly.
- Randy Savage, with his manager Miss Elizabeth, beat Ivan Putski.
- Ricky Steamboat defeated Davey Boy Smith in a close match.
- Junkyard Dog won his first match against The Iron Sheik.
- Tito Santana defeated The Magnificent Muraco.
- Paul Orndorff won his match against Bob Orton by disqualification.

Semi-Finals and Finals
In the semi-finals, Randy Savage defeated The Dynamite Kid. This meant Randy Savage was going to the final match. Junkyard Dog had a bye in the semi-finals because of the double count-out in the other match.
The final match was between Junkyard Dog and Randy Savage. It was a tough fight! In the end, Junkyard Dog won the tournament by count-out. This meant Randy Savage was counted out of the ring and couldn't get back in before the referee counted to ten.
WWF Championship Match
Besides the tournament, there was also a very important match for the WWF Championship. The champion, Hulk Hogan, defended his title against Roddy Piper. This was a big rivalry at the time! Hulk Hogan won the match by disqualification, meaning Roddy Piper broke a rule, so Hogan kept his championship.
