Elizabeth Ann Hulette (born November 19, 1960 – died May 1, 2003) was a famous American professional wrestling manager. She was best known as Miss Elizabeth. She also worked as an announcer and sometimes wrestled.

Miss Elizabeth became very well known from 1985 to 1992 in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). Later, she was also famous from 1996 to 2000 in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). She was mostly known for managing the wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage and other wrestling stars. She passed away on May 1, 2003.

Early Life and Education

Elizabeth Ann Hulette was born in Frankfort, Kentucky. She went to Franklin County High School. After high school, she studied at the University of Kentucky. She earned a degree in communications there.

Professional Wrestling Career

Starting in Wrestling (1983–1985)

Elizabeth met Randy Poffo while working at a gym. Randy Poffo was a wrestler known as "Macho Man" Randy Savage. They got married in December 1984.

Later, Elizabeth worked as a TV announcer for International Championship Wrestling shows. This was where Randy Poffo also worked.

Managing Randy Savage (1985–1988)

On June 17, 1985, "Macho Man" Randy Savage joined the World Wrestling Federation. At that time, many wrestling managers wanted to work with Savage. But Savage surprised everyone.

On July 30, 1985, during a match, Savage introduced his new manager. An unnamed, attractive woman came to the ring. Announcer Jesse Ventura said, "She must be some sort of movie star." Her name was soon revealed as "Miss Elizabeth."

Miss Elizabeth's first big storyline involved George "The Animal" Steele. In 1986, Steele acted like he was in love with Elizabeth. This made Savage very angry. This led to many exciting matches between them. Their storyline was one of the most popular in the 1980s.

Savage lost his WWF Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania III in 1987. He lost it to Ricky Steamboat. Later, The Honky Tonk Man won the title. Honky Tonk Man claimed he was the "greatest Intercontinental Champion." This made Savage challenge him.

During their match, Honky Tonk Man pushed Elizabeth. He then attacked Savage with a guitar. Elizabeth quickly ran backstage. She convinced Hulk Hogan to come help Savage. Hogan chased away Honky Tonk Man and his friends.

In February 1988, Hulk Hogan lost his WWF World Heavyweight Championship. André the Giant won it. André then sold the title to Ted DiBiase. The WWF President, Jack Tunney, said this was not allowed.

A tournament was held at WrestleMania IV to find a new champion. Macho Man Randy Savage won the tournament. Elizabeth was by his side for his many title defenses against DiBiase.

The Mega Powers Story (1988–1989)

Miss Elizabeth was a key part of the story between WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V.

At the first SummerSlam event in August 1988, Savage and Hulk Hogan teamed up. They were called the "Mega Powers." They faced the Mega Bucks (André the Giant and Ted DiBiase). Elizabeth was very popular at this time.

Elizabeth became a big part of the Mega Powers' story. Hogan was very friendly and protective of Elizabeth. This caused problems between Savage and Hogan. Elizabeth often went to the ring with Hogan for his matches.

During one match, Akeem and Big Boss Man tried to hurt Elizabeth. Big Boss Man even put handcuffs on her. Savage ran out to save her. He seemed more worried about Elizabeth than Hogan.

The tension between Hogan and Savage grew. At the 1989 Royal Rumble, Hogan accidentally eliminated Savage from the match. Savage got angry and confronted Hogan. Elizabeth rushed to the ring to try and make peace.

The Mega Powers finally broke up on The Main Event II in February 1989. Akeem threw Savage onto Elizabeth, knocking her out. Hogan quickly carried Elizabeth backstage for help. Savage was left alone in the ring.

When Elizabeth woke up, she asked Hogan to go back to the match. But Savage was furious that Hogan had left him. Savage slapped Hogan and left him to fight alone. After the match, Savage hit Hogan with his championship belt. This ended the Mega Powers.

This led to Hogan challenging Savage for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Their big match was at WrestleMania V in April 1989. Elizabeth said she would stand in a "neutral" corner. During the match, Elizabeth was sent away from the ringside. Hogan then won the championship from Savage. After this, Savage chose Sensational Sherri as his new manager.

Rivalry with Randy Savage (1989–1990)

Elizabeth appeared less often in 1989. She mostly managed Hulk Hogan in his matches against Randy Savage. At SummerSlam 1989, Elizabeth managed Hogan and Brutus Beefcake. They faced Savage and Zeus. Elizabeth even tripped Sherri to stop her from interfering.

Elizabeth also briefly co-hosted WWF Wrestling Spotlight with Vince McMahon.

Later, Savage and Sherri started a fight with "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire. Miss Elizabeth joined Rhodes and Sapphire. At WrestleMania VI in April 1990, they had the WWF's first mixed tag team match. Elizabeth helped Sapphire win the match by pulling Sherri's hair. Elizabeth then took a break from WWF events.

Rejoining Randy Savage (1991–1992)

Miss Elizabeth returned to WWF television at WrestleMania VII in March 1991. She was in the audience for a match between Savage and the Ultimate Warrior. Savage lost the match. Sherri then started to attack the defeated Savage.

Elizabeth ran into the ring and defended Savage. She grabbed Sherri and threw her out of the ring. Savage then held the ropes open for Elizabeth, just as she used to do for him. This showed they were back together.

On June 17, 1991, Savage proposed to Miss Elizabeth in the ring. She said yes! They had a big on-air wedding in August 1991 at SummerSlam 1991. It was called "the Match Made in Heaven." (They had actually married in 1984).

At their wedding party, Elizabeth opened a gift. A live snake was inside, which scared her. Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the Undertaker crashed the party and attacked Savage. This started a big fight between Roberts and Savage. Elizabeth was often involved in this storyline.

Elizabeth's last WWF appearance was in April 1992 in England. She helped Savage win a match against Shawn Michaels. In August 1992, she and Savage divorced. Savage released a statement in WWF Magazine saying they were no longer together. Elizabeth then left wrestling for a few years.

World Championship Wrestling (1996–2000)

The Four Horsemen (1996)

On January 23, 1996, Miss Elizabeth returned to wrestling. She managed Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan at Clash of the Champions XXXII. But just three weeks later, on February 11, 1996, Elizabeth turned against Randy Savage. She helped Ric Flair defeat him at SuperBrawl VI. She then became Flair's co-manager in The Four Horsemen.

New World Order (1996–1999)

In September 1996, Elizabeth joined the New World Order (nWo). This group included Hulk Hogan. But she still seemed to care for Randy Savage. She eventually joined his side when he also joined the nWo in February 1997.

In May 1998 at Slamboree, Elizabeth joined nWo Wolfpac. In June 1998, she left Savage again. She joined nWo Hollywood. She then walked to the ring with Eric Bischoff for several months. Savage told her he had "gotten over her" and didn't need her.

On January 4, 1999, on Nitro, Elizabeth was seen talking to police. In the storyline, she claimed that Goldberg was bothering her. She even said he bothered her by the water cooler. She then filed charges against Goldberg. Goldberg was arrested later that night.

However, Elizabeth later admitted she was lying. It turned out she was part of a plan by the nWo. They wanted Goldberg to miss his match with Kevin Nash. Because Goldberg was "arrested," Hulk Hogan took his place in the match.

Elizabeth stayed with the New World Order until April 1999. She then took a break from WCW.

Managing Lex Luger (1999–2000)

In September 1999, Elizabeth returned to WCW. She became the manager for Lex Luger. Elizabeth often went to the ring with Lex Luger for his matches.

Elizabeth became more involved in the wrestling action in late 1999. She showed a new, tougher side. At Starrcade 1999, she hit Sting with his own baseball bat.

In February 2000, Elizabeth managed a team called Team Package. This team included Lex Luger and Ric Flair. Elizabeth's final WCW appearance was on May 29, 2000. She quietly left WCW in August 2000 when her contract ended.

Personal Life

Elizabeth briefly married Cary Lubetsky in December 1997. He was a lawyer from South Florida. The wedding was held in Miami Beach. This marriage was short. They separated and divorced in April 1999.

Elizabeth and Luger stayed together as a couple after leaving WCW in 2000. After she left wrestling, Elizabeth worked at the front desk of Main Event Fitness. This was a gym in Marietta, Georgia, that Luger owned.

Elizabeth was supposed to appear at a wrestling tour in Europe in late 2002. She traveled with Luger, but she did not appear in any shows. Elizabeth never made another wrestling appearance on television after leaving WCW.

Other Media Appearances

Miss Elizabeth appeared in several WCW video games. These include WCW/nWo Revenge and WCW Nitro.

She also appeared in WWE video games. She was a non-player character (NPC) in WWF Superstars (1989 arcade game). She was also a selectable manager in WWE 2K14, WWE 2K16, and WWE 2K24.
