Waco is a small, unincorporated community found in Madison County, Kentucky, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. It's part of a larger area called the Richmond–Berea Micropolitan Statistical Area. This community is easy to find because it's located right where two roads meet: Kentucky Route 52 and Kentucky Route 977.
What is Waco's History?
Waco has been a recognized community for a long time. A post office was opened here way back in 1861. This means people have been sending and receiving mail in Waco for over 160 years! It's believed that the community got its name from the city of Waco, Texas.
