Justin Wakeland High School is a public high school in Frisco, Texas. It is part of the Frisco Independent School District. The school opened its doors on August 14, 2006. It is one of twelve high schools in the district. Students often come to Wakeland from Griffin Middle School and Cobb Middle School. The school is known for its strong academic and sports programs.

About Justin Wakeland High School
Why the School is Named Wakeland
This school was almost named Legacy High School. But during its construction, it was decided to name it after Justin Wakeland. Mr. Wakeland was a very important person for the Frisco Independent School District. He served as the superintendent for 19 years, from 1978 to 1997.
Sports and Arts at Wakeland
Wakeland High School has many successful sports teams and fine arts programs. They compete in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) as a 5A school. The school mascot is the Wolverines.
