Walpole–Townshend ministry facts for kids
The government of Great Britain was led by two important figures: Robert Walpole and Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount Townshend. This period of leadership lasted from 1721 until 1730.
Robert Walpole was the main leader in the House of Commons. This is like the part of the government where elected representatives meet. Charles Townshend was a key leader in the House of Lords. This was another important part of the government, often made up of nobles. Together, they guided Great Britain for almost a decade.
