This amazing park is famous for its towering sand dunes. You'll find several big dunes here, like Mt. Fuller, Pikes Peak, and Mt. Edwards. The most impressive one is Tower Hill. It stands 240 feet (73 meters) above Lake Michigan! Many visitors love to climb up Tower Hill and then run back down. It's also a fantastic spot to try sandboarding, which is like snowboarding but on sand!
How the Park Was Saved
The dunes and beach area were protected thanks to a local businessman named Edward K. Warren. He first bought the land to help a friend who was having money problems. Later, by 1930, this special area became a state park. This made sure everyone could enjoy its natural beauty for years to come.

- Warren Dunes Semi-Modern is smaller and more rustic, with about 30 campsites. Some sites offer lots of privacy.
- Both campgrounds are very popular, especially in July and August, so book early!

- Clay Painting: If you walk about a mile up the creek south of the beach, you'll find beds of light gray clay. You can mix it with creek water to make body or face paint! Most people wash it off in the lake afterward. However, it's important to know that too much clay in the water can make it cloudy. Cloudy water can sometimes be unhealthy if swallowed, especially for young children.
