Devon Dwayne Lamont "Wayne" Chism (born June 16, 1987) is a professional basketball player. He is from both America and Bahrain. Wayne plays for the Al-Salam team in the Saudi Basketball League. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers.

Wayne Chism's Basketball Journey
Wayne Chism was born in Jackson, Tennessee. During his final year of college, he was a key player for the Tennessee Volunteers. He led his team in points, rebounds, and blocks.
Wayne helped the Volunteers reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament. This was the first time in their school's history. They had a very close game but lost by just one point.
Starting Professional Basketball
After college, Wayne was not chosen in the 2010 NBA draft. However, he was invited to play in the summer league for two NBA teams.
He then started his professional career overseas. He played for a team in Turkey called Antalya BB. Later, in 2011, he joined the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA D-League.
Playing in Europe
For the 2011–12 season, Wayne moved to Hungary. He signed with a team called Albacomp. In July 2012, he went to France to play for Aix Maurienne Savoie Basket. This team was part of the French LNB Pro B league.
In October 2013, Wayne returned to Hungary. He joined Kaposvári KK. He played there for a few months before leaving the team in February 2014.
Time in Asia
In March 2014, Wayne signed with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the Philippines. He played as an "import" player for their team.
He returned to the Philippines in February 2015 for a second time with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Wayne helped his team have a great season. They reached the finals but lost in a very close series. For his excellent play, Wayne won the Best Import of the Conference award.
In November 2015, Wayne came back to the Philippines for his third time with Rain or Shine. However, he got a hamstring injury in February 2016. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of the season. He was then replaced by another player.
Later Career
In August 2014, Wayne signed a one-year deal with Hapoel Gilboa Galil in Israel. He played there until January 2015.
In October 2016, Wayne played for Garzas de Plata Hidalgo in Mexico. In August 2017, he signed with Manama in the Bahraini Premier League. He has continued to play basketball professionally in different leagues since then. As of 2023, he plays for Al-Salam in the Saudi Basketball League.
