Wegdahl is a small, unincorporated community. It is located in Chippewa County, in the state of Minnesota, United States.
An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live together. However, it does not have its own local government. Instead, the county government usually manages it.
The Story of Wegdahl
Wegdahl got its name from a person named Hemming Arntzen Wegdahl. He was the first owner of the land where the community is now. He was also the very first postmaster there.
A post office was opened in Wegdahl in 1871. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. The post office stayed open until 1957, when it was closed down.
