Weißenfels is a city in Germany. It is located in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. For a long time, Weißenfels was the main city of the old Weißenfels Rural District. This changed in 2007 when districts were reorganized. A long time ago, the King of Saxony used to live here! The city is about 30 kilometers (about 18 miles) southwest of a bigger city called Leipzig.
