Wentworth is a small, officially recognized village in Lake County, South Dakota, United States. It is special because it is the only incorporated village in the entire state of South Dakota. In 2020, about 181 people lived there.

History of Wentworth
Wentworth was first planned out and marked on a map in 1881. It was named after the Wentworth family, who owned the land where the village was built. This village is also known as the mailing address for many cabins and vacation homes located around Lake Madison, a popular spot in South Dakota.
