Wesley Reid Scantlin, born on June 9, 1972, is an American singer, musician, and songwriter. He is most famous as the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Puddle of Mudd. He is the only member who has been with the band since the beginning. Hit Parader magazine once named him one of the "Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists."

Early Life of Wes Scantlin
Wesley Reid Scantlin was born in Kansas City, Missouri. This happened on June 9, 1972. He went to Park Hill High School in Kansas City.
Wes Scantlin's Music Career
Wes Scantlin started the band Puddle of Mudd in 1991. They released their first collection of songs, called Stuck, in 1994. After that, they put out a demo album named Abrasive in 1997.
In 2001, the band welcomed three new members. They then released their first major album, Come Clean. Two years later, in 2003, their second album, Life on Display, came out. Their third album, Famous, was released in 2007. This was followed by Songs in the Key of Love & Hate in 2009. Their most recent album, Welcome to Galvania, was released in 2019.
Scantlin has also performed with Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell. They played acoustic versions of Alice in Chains songs together. He also took part in a benefit concert for the tsunami victims with Alice in Chains. Wes Scantlin worked with Carlos Santana on his album All That I Am. He recorded the song "Just Feel Better" for the album.
