History of West Brooklyn
West Brooklyn was officially made a village on September 24, 1894.
One important person from West Brooklyn's history was Henry F. Gehant (1863–1927). He was a farmer, a merchant (someone who sells things), and a banker. He also served in the Illinois General Assembly, which is like the state's government. Plus, he was the president of the West Brooklyn Village Board, helping to lead the village.
Geography and Location
West Brooklyn is located at coordinates 41°41′37″N 89°8′50″W. This means it's in the northern part of Illinois.
