Where is West Kittanning Located?
West Kittanning sits on top of a hill. From this hill, you can see the beautiful Allegheny River. The town is about 40 miles (64 km) northeast of a bigger city called Pittsburgh.
It is next to another borough named Applewold, which is at the bottom of the hill. Across the river to the northeast, you'll find Kittanning, which is the main town of Armstrong County.
The borough is quite small, covering an area of about 0.43 square miles (1.1 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water inside the borough limits.
