Pinnacle: A Tall Building in Leeds
What is Pinnacle?
Pinnacle is located right in the middle of Leeds. This area is known for its many shops. The ground floor of Pinnacle has several shops. The floors above are used as offices.
The building also has a small car park. This car park is located behind the building. It can be found off Upper Basinghall Street.
A Bit of History
Pinnacle was built in the early 1970s. It was a very noticeable building for a long time. It stood out on the Leeds skyline. In the early 2000s, the inside of the building was updated. Later, the shops on the lower floors were also made new.
Leeds City Council used to have offices here. They were the main tenants for many years. However, they have since moved out of the building. Today, other taller buildings have been built in Leeds. Some of these new buildings are even on higher ground. This means Pinnacle does not stand out as much as it once did.
Pinnacle's Neighbors
There is another building also called West Riding House. This smaller building is not in Leeds. It is in the nearby city of Bradford. It is located across from Bradford Forster Square railway station.
