Westfield is a small village located in Marquette County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 1,254 people lived here. The village is mostly within the Town of Westfield. A small part of it also reaches into the nearby Town of Harris. You can find the Marquette County fairgrounds on the south side of the village.

History of Westfield

How Westfield Got Its Name

Westfield was first settled and planned by a Hungarian-American immigrant named Agoston Haraszthy. He first called the village "Széptáj," which means "beautiful landscape" in Hungarian. Later, the village was renamed "Haraszthy" to honor him. In 1849, the state government decided to change the name again, and that's when it became "Westfield."
