A Look Back: Westfield Center's History
Westfield Center was first started in 1826. When it got its own post office, it was given the name "Le Roy." For many years, people used both "Westfield Center" and "Le Roy" to talk about the village.
In 1914, the village officially became a town and was named Le Roy, Ohio. However, in the early 1970s, the name was changed back to Westfield Center.
One special building in Westfield Center, the Universalist Church, is so important that it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means it's a historic site worth protecting!
