The Town of Westport is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, USA. It's like a neighborhood right next to the city of Madison. In 2020, about 4,183 people lived there.

Westport was named after Westport in Ireland. Many of the first people who settled here came from that town. A nearby village called Waunakee was created from part of Westport in 1893. Some parts of Westport have also become part of the cities of Madison and Middleton. A piece of land near Lake Mendota, which used to be part of the Town of Madison, was given to Westport.

The Town of Westport covers about 27.2 square miles (70.6 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 22.2 square miles (57.6 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 5.0 square miles (13.0 square kilometers), is water.

Governor Nelson State Park is a beautiful park located right in the town. It's a great place for outdoor activities.
