Wheeler is a small community in Porter County, Indiana, in the United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP) because the government counts its population separately. Wheeler is located in northern Union Township, near State Road 130. It is northwest of the city of Valparaiso. Even though Wheeler is not officially a city or town, it used to have its own post office with the ZIP code 46393. In 2010, about 443 people lived there.

Wheeler was started in 1858. This happened when a railroad line was built through the area. A post office served the community from 1858 until July 2023.
