Whizziwig is a fun science fiction TV show for kids. It was shown on CITV in the United Kingdom from 1998 to 2000. The show is based on popular books written by the famous children's author Malorie Blackman.
What is Whizziwig About?
The show follows the exciting adventures of a boy named Ben and his best friend, Steve. They meet a small, pink alien named Whizziwig. This alien is about the size of a rugby ball.
Whizziwig has a special power: she can grant wishes! But there's a catch. Someone has to say the words "I wish..." for the wish to happen. Also, the wish must be made for someone else, not for yourself. Each wish only lasts for 24 hours.
A big part of the show is Ben and Steve trying to trick Whizziwig. They often try to make her grant wishes for themselves. But Whizziwig is very clever and usually figures out their plans!
Ben tries to keep Whizziwig a secret. He often hides her in his school bag. This leads to many funny situations at school. Unaware students might say "I wish..." near Whizziwig, and their wishes come true!
