Wichita Recordings is an independent record label based in London, England. It was started in 2000 by two friends, Mark Bowen and Dick Green. An independent label means it's not owned by a big music company.

Wichita Recordings has worked with many popular bands. Some of the most famous include Bloc Party, The Cribs, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They helped these bands share their music with the world. For example, they helped Clap Your Hands Say Yeah get their first album out in the UK.

The very first album Wichita Recordings released was Fevers and Mirrors by Bright Eyes in 2000.

What Wichita Recordings Does

Wichita Recordings helps artists record and release their music. They also have a part of their company called Wichita Management. This team helps artists with their careers, like planning tours and managing their schedules. Some artists they currently help manage include Gold Panda and Cloud Nothings.

In 2015, Wichita Recordings celebrated 15 years of making music! They released new songs from bands like FIDLAR and Waxahatchee. In 2016, they released first albums from Globelamp and Mothers.
