Wicked at RCDB

Wicked is an exciting steel roller coaster at Lagoon Amusement Park. You can find it in Farmington, Utah, United States. This thrilling ride opened on June 1, 2007. It's the second tallest roller coaster at Lagoon, right after Cannibal.

About the Wicked Roller Coaster

Wicked is easy to spot at the front of Lagoon Park. Its track is bright green, and most of its supports are silver. But look closely, and you'll see the launch tower has cool bright yellow supports!

What Makes Wicked Special?

Wicked was designed by Dal Freeman from Lagoon Corporation. It was built by Zierer. This ride is super exciting because it launches you very fast without much warning. It also has a 90-degree drop and unique safety lap-bars.

The ride also features an Immelmann turn and a heartline roll. These are special moves that make the ride even more fun!

How Wicked Works

Wicked uses something called LSMs, which stands for Linear Synchronous Motors. These powerful motors launch the trains and also help them brake. It's a clever system that helps power the ride.

Your Ride on Wicked

Your adventure on Wicked starts in a dark tunnel. Suddenly, you hear a siren and a loud boom! Then, whoosh! You shoot straight up a 110-foot tall hill. You'll reach speeds of 40 miles per hour going up!

Once you reach the top, you'll drop straight down the other side. You'll hit speeds of 55 miles per hour on the way down!

Twists and Turns

After the big drop, you'll go over a small hill. Then, you'll quickly flip through an Immelmann turn. This move turns you upside down and then right side up again.

Next, the track levels out before sending you into a heartline roll. This makes you feel like you're spinning around your own heart! After that, you'll go through a quick turn and slow down a bit.

The Grand Finale

You'll then drop into a double half-pipe. The track twists you right, then left, then into a downward helix. More twists follow, and then you dive into a trench covered by a tunnel.

Finally, you come out of the tunnel and the ride slows down. Your exciting journey on Wicked comes to an end!
