Wickham was once a small place in Hampshire County, West Virginia. It's called an 'extinct unincorporated community' because it's no longer an active town and doesn't have its own local government.
Where Was Wickham Located?
Wickham was found in a special area of West Virginia. It sat in a narrow pass, or 'gap,' within Mill Creek Mountain. The South Branch Potomac River flowed right by it. This location was important because it was a stop on the South Branch Valley Railroad. Today, only one old building is left standing there.
