Wiggensbach is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the state of Bavaria in Germany. It's about 7 kilometers (about 4.3 miles) west of Kempten, which is the closest big city.
Wiggensbach is surrounded by other towns. To its north is Altusried, and to its south is Buchenberg. Wiggensbach itself is the main village, but it also includes two smaller areas called Ermengerst and Westenried. There are also 72 tiny settlements, known as hamlets, scattered around the municipality. The area is quite high up, sitting between 870 and 1,077 meters (about 2,854 to 3,533 feet) above sea level.
Friendship with Hattstatt
Wiggensbach has a special friendship with a town called Hattstatt in France. This kind of friendship between towns is called "twinning." It helps people from both places learn about each other's cultures and traditions. In 2003, Wiggensbach and Hattstatt celebrated their 20th anniversary of being twin towns!
