Will Sheridan Jr. (born January 12, 1985) is a talented American who played college basketball and later became a successful rapper and musician. He played for the Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team from 2003 to 2007. After college, he played basketball in Italy for a short time.

Will Sheridan began his music career with a show called "The Will to Win" in New York. He was also inspired by a trip to Nairobi, Kenya. His music style mixes house, hip hop, and African rhythms.
First Releases and Music Videos
His first music project was an EP called Ngoma. This word means "music" in the Swahili language. The first music video from this EP was "Welcome to the Jungle." It has a strong African feel, using the word "asante," which means "thank you" in Swahili. His next song was "302," named after the area code for Bear, Delaware, where he grew up.
After his debut, RapIreland.com noted him as a unique hip hop artist. Will performed often in New York City. He hosted two monthly shows: "Westside Wednesdays" and "GIANT." He is known for his energetic live performances. He also hosts a weekly party called "Hot Fruit" in Brooklyn.

During his first year at Villanova, Will Sheridan shared with his roommate and teammate, Mike Nardi, that he was gay. He also told his parents a few months later. His teammates at Villanova knew but kept it private to support team unity.
On May 16, 2011, Will Sheridan spoke publicly about being gay in an interview with ESPN.com. This happened after he stopped playing basketball. After the article was published, he also appeared on ESPN's Outside the Lines.
In an interview with Outsports, Will shared that some of his songs, like "You Know I Got It," had lyrics that hinted at his identity even before he spoke about it publicly. Will Sheridan is one of the few male Division I basketball players to publicly share his identity.
