Willesden East was a special area in Middlesex, near London. It was created in 1918 to choose one person, called a Member of Parliament (MP), to represent its people in the UK Parliament. This area became part of London itself in 1965.
The way people voted in Willesden East often matched how the whole country voted, especially from 1931 until the area was changed in 1974. Before 1945, the people in Willesden East mostly voted for Conservative candidates. However, they did vote for a Liberal candidate once in 1923 during a special election called a by-election.
