Alfred William Frankland MBE (19 March 1912 – 2 April 2020) was a British allergist. His works include keeping track of the pollen count as a piece of weather-related information to the British public, and for the prediction of increased levels of allergy to penicillin.

Frankland turned 100 in March 2012.

In 2015, he appeared in an episode of the BBC 2 TV series Britain's Greatest Generation and as a guest on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.

In June 2015, at the age of 103, he was awarded an MBE for services to allergy research. In July 2015 he was, at age 103, the oldest recipient of the badge of the Order of Mercy.

Frankland died on 2 April 2020 in London at the age of 108. The cause of death was COVID-19.
