William King and Antonio Murray facts for kids
William A. King and Antonio L. Murray were two former police officers who worked for the Baltimore Police Department. They were investigated by the FBI in 2005. After this investigation, they were sentenced to prison. Later, in May 2021, their sentences were greatly reduced from a very long time to 20 years. This change happened because of a new law called the First Step Act, which was passed in 2018. The former police commissioner, Leonard Hamm, said that people who act like William King have no place in the police department.
