William de Clinton, 1st Earl of Huntingdon (born around 1304 – died October 31, 1354) was an important English nobleman and military leader. He served as the Lord High Admiral, which meant he was in charge of the navy. William was the younger son of John de Clinton, 1st Baron Clinton from Maxstoke Castle in Warwickshire. His mother was Ida de Odingsells.

William de Clinton grew up with Edward III of England, who later became king. This friendship was very important for William's career.
