Willowdale is a small, unincorporated community located in Kingman County, Kansas, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes or buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. You can find Willowdale about 5 miles north of Zenda. It sits right where SW 100 Avenue and SW 90 Street meet.
Willowdale's History
Willowdale has a simple but interesting past. A Baptist church was started here on May 21, 1885. This church was an important part of the community for many years. Later, a post office opened in Willowdale in 1901. This made it easier for people to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for quite a while. However, it closed down in 1938.
