Winde is a small, unincorporated community located in Delta County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own city government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Baldwin Township. Winde can be found west of another community known as Perkins.
History of Winde
The community of Winde was named after an early settler in the area, Herman Winde. For a short time, Winde even had its own post office. This post office operated from 1918 until 1925, helping people send and receive mail in the community.
