Windfalls is a fun British children's television series that uses a special animation style called stop motion. It was created, written, and directed by Jenny Kenna. The show teaches kids about nature, especially how to read signs in the environment and learn about different plants. It also introduces some basic ideas about herbal medicine.
What makes Windfalls unique is that all the characters are made from real leaves, grasses, and pressed flowers. This gives the show a very natural and creative look.

How it Was Made
Windfalls was produced by two companies: FilmFair and Central Independent Television. It was made for the ITV channel in the United Kingdom. The first episode aired on 14 April 1989. The series had 26 episodes in total.
When it first aired in the UK, two episodes were shown together in each broadcast. However, when the show was broadcast in other countries, like Australia (on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation), Canada (on Knowledge Network), and Singapore (on Channel 5), the episodes were often shown one at a time. The series also aired on the military channel BFBS in places like Germany, Cyprus, and the Falkland Islands, where it kept the original two-episode format.
The animation for Windfalls was done by Isabelle Perrichon. She later worked on another animated series called Rod 'n' Emu in 1991.
