Windows ME was a version of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It was also known as the Millennium Edition. This operating system was made for people using computers at home.
Windows ME was released in the year 2000. It was the last Windows version to be based on MS-DOS. Windows ME looked similar to Windows 2000. However, Windows ME had features that families might find useful. Windows 2000 was mostly for businesses.
Many people did not like Windows ME very much. It often had bugs and did not work well with some computer parts. Microsoft stopped supporting Windows ME in 2006. This means it no longer received updates or help.
