Winston Bronnum (1929-1991) was a talented Canadian artist. He taught himself how to create amazing sculptures. He was famous for making huge animal statues out of concrete. You can still see many of his giant animals along roads in Canada. These sculptures often surprise and delight travelers.

Bronnum was also an entrepreneur. He started a place called Animaland Park. This park showed off many of his sculptures. It was also where he worked on his art. His early jobs helped him a lot. He worked on bridges and hydro dams. This experience taught him how to build strong, large structures. His family's original last name was spelled Brønnum.
