Wombles Creek is a small stream, or "creek," located in North Carolina, United States. It is about 5 miles (8 kilometers) long. This creek is special because it is the only one in the entire United States with the name "Wombles Creek"! It flows into a bigger river called the Cape Fear River.

Where Wombles Creek Starts and Ends

Wombles Creek begins near a place called Blacknel, North Carolina. It starts about half a mile (0.8 kilometers) southwest of Blacknel. From there, the creek flows mostly towards the southeast. It travels for about 5 miles (8 kilometers). Finally, Wombles Creek joins the much larger Cape Fear River. This meeting point is about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) southeast of Moncure, North Carolina.
