Wood Lake is a beautiful lake in British Columbia, Canada. It's one of five big lakes in the Okanagan Valley. These lakes were formed a very long time ago, about 8,900 years back!

Wood Lake is right next to Kalamalka Lake. In 1908, people dug a special channel, called the Oyama canal, to connect them. The lake is located between the towns of Oyama and Winfield. It's famous for its great rainbow trout fishing. The lake got its name from Tom Wood, who settled near its southern end around 1860.

The area around Wood Lake has a dry climate and good soil. This has helped a large fruit farming industry grow in the valley. The higher parts of the land around the lake are covered in thick forests. These forests have been used for logging for many years. The lower areas are known for their Ponderosa pine trees and bunchgrass.
