Woodland is a small community in Summit County, Utah, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is a special area defined by the government for counting people.
In 2000, about 335 people lived in Woodland. By 2020, the population had grown slightly to 375 people.

How Woodland Got Started
Woodland was first settled in 1861 by a person named Hans Larsen. He built his home along the Provo River.
In 1864, Hans Larsen gave some of his land to a church. He wanted them to build a meeting house there, and he even helped construct it.
Larsen chose the name "Woodland" because of the many large trees in the area. These trees were used to make timber and railroad ties. In 1867, Woodland was officially recognized as a settlement in the Utah Territory.
