A Look Back: Woodruff's History
The first people settled in the area that is now Woodruff in 1870. Just two years later, in 1872, a post office opened, helping connect the town to the outside world. The town got its name from Wilford Woodruff, who was an important leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
